Abstract

East Java Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) in December 2020 increased 0.26 percent from 100.54 to 100.80. The increase in NTP was due to the increase in the index of prices received by farmers (It) of 0.67, which was higher than the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib), which increased by only 0.40.
  • In December 2020, three agricultural sub-sectors experienced an increase in NTP and two sub-sectors experienced a decrease. The sub-sector that experienced the largest increase in NTP occurred in the Horticulture sub-sector, namely 2.22 percent from 95.70 to 97.82, followed by the fisheries sub-sector by 0.95 percent from 97.69 to 98.62, and the Animal Husbandry sub-sector by 0.49 percent of 99.01 to 99.49. The sub-sector that experienced a decline in NTP was the Food Crops sub-sector by 0.19 percent from 102.68 to 102.48, followed by the People's Plantation sub-sector by 0.04 percent from 98.07 to 98.03.
  • Of the five provinces in Java that calculated NTP in December 2020, only one province experienced an increase in NTP, namely East Java with an increase of 0.26 percent, while other provinces experienced a decrease. The largest decrease in NTP occurred in Central Java Province by 0.69 percent, followed by West Java Province at 0.54 percent, Yogyakarta Special Region Province at 0.53 percent and Banten Province.
