Abstract

  • Jawa Timur Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) in March 2021 decreased 1.19 percent from 100.38 to 99.19. The decrease in NTP was due to the decrease in the price index received by farmers (It) by 0.90 percent, while the price index paid by farmers (Ib) increased by 0.29 percent.
  • In March 2021, three agricultural sub-sectors experienced a decrease in NTP and two sub-sectors experienced an increase. The sub-sector that experienced the largest decline in NTP occurred in the Food Crops sub-sector, namely 2.76 percent from 101.00 to 98.21, followed by the Fisheries sub-sector by 0.92 percent from 100.08 to 99.17 and the Animal Husbandry sub-sector by 0.22 percent of 98.33 becomes 98.11. The sub-sector that experienced an increase in NTP was the Horticulture sub-sector by 3.17 percent from 103.31 to 106.59, followed by the Smallholder Plantation sub-sector by 0.56 percent from 98.46 to 99.01.
  • The five provinces in Java that carried out their NTP calculations in March 2021 all experienced a decrease in their NTPs. The largest decrease in NTP occurred in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and Banten with 1.22 percent, followed by Jawa Timur with 1.19 percent, Jawa Tengah with 1.06 percent and Jawa Barat with 0.77 percent.
