Abstract

The percentage of poor people in East Java in September 2021 was 10.59 percent, decreased by 0.81 percent in March 2021 and 0.87 percent in pain in September 2020.

The number of poor people in East Java in September 2021 was 4.259 million people, decreased by 0.313 million people against March 2021 and decreased by 0.326 million people against March 2020.

The percentage of the urban poor in March 2021 was 8.38 percent, down to 7.99 percent in September 2021. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor in March 2021 was 15.05 percent, down to 13.79 percent in September 2021.

Compared to March 2021, the number of urban poor in September 2021 decreased by 71.3 thousand people (from 1.840 million people in March 2021 to

1.768 million people in September 2021). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of rural poor people decreased by 241.8 thousand people (from 2.732 million people in March 2021 to 2,490 million people in September 2021).

The Poverty Line in September 2021 was recorded at Rp445,139,-/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of Rp336,315,- (75.55 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of Rp108.825,- (24.45 percent) . In September 2021, on average, poor households in East Java had 4.14 household members. Thus, the magnitude of the Poverty Line per poor household on average is Rp. 842.875,-/house poor ladder/month.
