Abstract

Of the eight CPI cities in East Java, all experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sumenep Regency at 0.53 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Banyuwangi Regency at 0.02 percent.
Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by increases in the index for the expenditure group. Of the eleven expenditure groups, eight experienced inflation, one group experienced deflation and two groups experienced no change. The expenditure group that experienced the highest inflation was the personal care and other services group at 0.55 percent, followed by the food and beverage / restaurant supply group at 0.30 percent, the health group at 0.22 percent, the equipment, equipment and routine home maintenance group. households by 0.17 percent, the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.16 percent and the transportation group by 0.12 percent, the clothing and footwear group by 0.06 percent and the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.04 percent. The inflation rate for the calendar year April 2021 is 0.75 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (April 2021 against April 2020) is 1.52 percent.
