Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting East Java through the Juanda entrance in August 2021 decreased by 80.77 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting in July 2021, from 52 visits to 10 visits.
  • The number of foreign tourist visits in August 2021 decreased by 58.33 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the same period in 2020 which reached 24 visits.
  • During the January - August 2021 period, the most foreign tourists were Japanese nationals who reached 95 visits, followed by South Korean nationals who reached 64 visits and Chinese nationals who reached 54 visits.
  • The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star classification hotels in East Java in August 2021 reached an average of 29.39 percent, an increase of 3.14 points compared to the previous month. The ROR for 2 (two) star hotels of 35.42 percent is the highest ROR for other star hotels.
  • The average length of stay of foreign guests (RLMT) at star classification hotels during August 2021 was recorded at 2.29 days or an increase of 0.17 points when compared to July 2021 which reached 2.12 days. The overall RLMT in August 2021 was 1.45 days or decreased by 0.17 points compared to the RLMT in July 2021.
