Abstract

Deflation occurred due to a sharp decline in prices, as indicated by the decline in one index of the expenditure group. Of the eleven expenditure groups, one group experienced deflation and ten groups experienced inflation. The expenditure group that experienced deflation was food, beverages and tobacco by 0.93 percent. The expenditure groups that experienced the highest inflation were the food and beverage/restaurant supply group at 0.60 percent, followed by the health group at 0.39 percent, the clothing and footwear group and the equipment, equipment and maintenance group.
