Abstract

Fisherman's Exchange Rate (NTN) is a comparison of the price index received by fishermen (It) to the index of the price paid by fishermen (Ib).
  • NTN is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of fishermen. NTN also shows the terms of trade of capture fishery products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The Fishermen's Exchange Rate (NTN) for the month of September 2021 rose 0.93 percent from 103.19 in August 2021 to 104.15 in September 2021.
  • Development of NTN September 2021 against December 2020 (year
  • calendar) increased by 8.20 percent. The development of NTN in September 2021 against September 2020 (year-on-year) increased by 9.16 percent.
  • Of the six provinces on the island of Java that calculated NTN in September 2021, all of them experienced an increase in NTN. DKI Jakarta Province increased by 1.60 percent, Central Java Province rose 1.33 percent, Banten Province rose 1.14 percent, East Java Province rose 0.93 percent, Yogyakarta Province rose 0.72 percent, and West Java Province rose 0.65 percent.
  • In September 2021 the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in East Java fell by 0.22 percent due to a decrease in indexes in several expenditure groups, especially the food, beverage and tobacco groups.
