Abstract

Fisherman's Exchange Rate (NTN) is the ratio of the price index received by fishermen (It) to the index of price paid by fishermen (Ib).
  • NTN is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of fishermen. NTN also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of capture fisheries products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The Fishermen's Exchange Rate (NTN) for East Java in December 2021 fell 1.53 percent from 104.21 in November 2021 to 102.61 in December 2021.
  • Development of NTN December 2021 against December 2020 (year calendar/year on year) increased by 6.61 percent.
  • Of the six provinces on the island of Java that calculated NTN in December 2021, four provinces experienced an increase in NTN, and two provinces experienced a decrease in NTN. Central Java Province increased by 1.80 percent, Yogyakarta Province rose 1.05 percent, West Java Province rose 0.98 percent, and Banten Province rose 0.01 percent. The ones experiencing a decline in NTN were DKI Jakarta Province, which fell 0.42 percent, and East Java Province, which fell 1.53 percent.
  • In December 2021 the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in East Java rose by 1.17 percent, while the Production Cost and Capital Goods Addition Index (BPPBM) rose 0.02 percent.
